Michael was my chiropractor when I was a resident of Coquitlam, playing competitive hockey in Vancouver. He was always very personable & professional, extremely committed and passionate about his profession. He also did a great job of educating me... he shared his knowledge. From a health standpoint, I ALWAYS saw immediate results from his therapy. Since I moved away from the area, I've always used my experiences with him as a measuring stick for other practitioners, and very few have measured up.
Had made an appointment to see Dr. Michael McCann which required filling out an 8 page questionnaire. I chose not to complete an 8 page questionnaire that required such questions as "Are you sexually active"? "sexual orientation", "sexual difficulties", "Gonorrhea" and so many more invasive questions. The receptionist was aware that I was only coming in with the first page completed with my name and my doctors name. All I wanted was to find a chiropractor near home. I have seen two chiropractors and neither asked such invasive questions. I came prepared with x-ray results but we didn't get that far to discuss them. Because I didn't fill out the questionnaire he went up one side of me and down the other with the rudest tone and body language. When I asked him what these questions had to do with chiropractic care he didn't answer and proceeded to explain to me he has been doing this for 40 years etc. He then told me I should go back to my other chiropractor. Also informed me that I wasted two appointments. I calmly stood up and took my info he was holding and walked out and later that day made an appointment with my original chiropractor I had been seeing for 20 years. He should have his receptionist tell potential clients that he won't see them unless the questionnaire is filled out. Then both his and my time wouldn't have been wasted.
